It's so hard to be a (paren)
Once the sentence gets too long,
When the words are disconnected
And the thoughts just don't belong.
Every sentence is a ladder
That's too shaky when it's loose,
Or a train with two big engines,
Twenty cars, and no caboose!
Tidy (parens) are like bookends
That keep words from falling out.
You can (whisper) to your neighbours,
Tell your secrets, or just (SHOUT!)
