Flying Fish

by Carol-Ann Hoyte

Flying fish,
peculiar fish
flap your wing-like
pectoral fins.

Flying fish,
athletic fish
long-distance glider
above the sea.

Flying fish,
clever fish
flee tuna who wanna
munch on you for lunch.

Crunch, crunch!
